Look up a Texas license plate number

Do you want to find out who owns a vehicle by looking up it's Texas license plate number?

Unless there is some compelling reason, like a criminal act, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will deny your request. After a lot of internet research and interminable holding on the phone with TxDOT bureaucrats, we've found a way to get around this problem.

How much does it cost?
You can certainly do the research and legwork to obtain the info yourself, but if you'd like to avoid the hassle, we charge $8 to look up a Texas license plate number for you.

How long does it take?
It usually takes about a week to 10 days to get the report. You will receive your report in an email as soon as it's ready.

IMPORTANT:

• Enter a Valid Texas License Plate Number
  Be sure the Texas license plate number that you enter is valid. We have no way of checking it prior to doing our research. There are no refunds if you enter an invalid license plate number. We only look up Texas license plates, so make sure the license plate number you are checking on is from Texas!
• "O" and Zero
  Make sure you enter the letter "O" as a letter and the number zero ("0") as a number. No refunds will be issued due to improper entries.
• Cancelled and Non-existant Plates
  Occasionally we get a report back that says the plate number requested has been cancelled, or that no such plate number exists, with no further information about the owner. We have no way of knowing this prior to ordering the report and paying the record fee. No refunds will be issued if the plate has been cancelled or does not exist.
